A great time to go is Mid-May, after the winter tourists have gone and before it gets hot enough to cook an egg on the front of your golf cart.

We visited Palm Springs area and the Coachella Valley in California in December, 2009. What a fantastic climate, with temperatures ranging from mid 60s to high 70's. A golfer's paradise, with over over 125 courses, public and private, and all within easy reach of many excellent hotels. We toured numerous hotels and many golf courses in a busy 7 day schedule.
