Friday December 10th 2010
Arriving into Cape Town International Airport, we will transfer you to this classic hotel for your first 5 nights stay. The 5* Commodore hotel is next door to the busy V and A waterfront in Cape Town, South Africa.
Saturday December 11th
18 Holes at the legendary Royal Cape Town, home of the South African Open on ten occasions and extensive views of Table Mountain.
Sunday December 12th
The hotel is five kilometres from Table Mountain and weather permitting, we have included a morning excursion to the top of this extraordinary landmark. The new Swiss built cable car was only taken into service some two years ago. On the way up and down the floor of the car actually rotates a full 360 deg. This ensures that everyone gets a chance to enjoy the full breathtaking panorama. Cool!
Monday December 13th
18 holes at Erinvale Golf Club, Gary Player design and a classic layout. Spend the afternoon in the Stellenbosch Winelands sampling a variety of world class wines and don’t forget to purchase the best bottles for your collection at home.
Tuesday December 14th
18 holes at Steenberg Golf Club, on the oldest wine farm in the Cape and rates as one of the top 3 courses in South Africa. For the energetic, in the afternoon we can arrange an optional excursion to the Cape Point Nature Reserve, a signal for sailors that they had rounded the Cape. Explore this area and stop at the penguin colony at Boulders Beach.
Wednesday December 15th
Check out of the Commodore and fly the 2hr connecting flight to Durban. On arrival at Durban International Airport, transfer to the classic Fairmont Zimbali Lodge
Thursday December 16th
18 holes at Zimbali Lodge Country Club, Weiskopf designed wth an abundance of natural features which include constant changes in elevation, a combination of mature indigenous trees and vegetation and some beautiful wetland areas with natural steams and ponds, all creating a dramatic and beautiful setting.
Friday December 17th
18 holes at Prince’s Grant Country Club, one of Kwa Zulu Natal's finest, a “ Five Star Golf experience” in South Africa. Spend the balance of the day with a walk on the secluded beach, canoeing on a private lagoon or some shopping along the Dolphin Coast.
Saturday December 18th
Check out of the Zimbali Lodge and Country Club and make your way to the north of Zululand for an unforgettable bush experience at the Mkuze Falls Private Game reserve where you will stay in a luxurious tented lodge. Depending on your time of arrival, partake in the afternoon game drive in search of the BIG FIVE.
Sunday December 19th
An early morning wake up call for game drive and breakfast. Enjoy the rest of the day by partaking in a bush walk with a qualified game ranger, lazing at the pool and sundowner drinks before your evening game drive.
Monday December 20th
Check out of the Mkuze Falls Private Game Reserve. Transfer to Durban International Airport for connections to International airports at Johannesburg or Cape Town. We’ll send you home with a personal travel journal to help you remember a golf experience holiday of a lifetime.
