In May 2009, Jenahura staff visited the outstanding new golf courses of the Punta Cana region, in the eastern part of the Republica Dominicana. Justifiably, the most famous course in the Dominican is now Punta Espada, as seen recently on TV during the PGA Champions Tour event. This is Jack Nicklaus design at his very, very best, crafting a seaside masterpiece with hole after hole of genius. Whilst this might sound like a little too much adulation, it is worth pointing out that we have never been huge fans of the Nicklaus design team. You can read a full review, and see pictures below.

Possibly the best thing about the Dominican Republic are its cheerful, industrious and proud people. This makes your golf holiday a great experience, particularly at the many all-inclusive hotels which we visited and reviewed. Don't expect "servicio rapido", but everything is delivered with a smile and often, a sense of humour.
